Hello, my name is Alicia (She/Her). I've been gardening for three years and providing flowers for my community and farmers markets for two years. My journey to farming started when I moved up here from San Diego to take care of my grandpa. He used to grow and sell eggs, fruits, veggies, and jams at the Bainbridge Farmers Market—actually one of the first people to get it started. I had the idea of doing something together to get him back at markets. I’ve always had a love for medicinal plants and spent time at my friend’s floral shop in San Diego. After watching a documentary on a flower farmer in Skagit Valley, I quickly signed up for her course and learned how to start flower farming. Since then, I've traveled to a sustainable floristry and farming conference, taken multiple floristry workshops, and learned from my community of farmers. I now share that knowledge with my community through workshops and farmers markets, and I offer floristry services for weddings, events, styled shoots, pop ups, and more.
